Why is it called “Empowered Ministry”?

Our desire is to see sons and daughters of the King live a lifestyle that is dependent upon the empowering of the Holy Spirit, a lifestyle where the ministry of the Holy Spirit flows through His children and the Kingdom of Heaven breaks in. Whether you are loving your family, neighbor, friend, or serving in the workplace, our desire is to see God impact the world you live in, impact it the way Jesus did.

What is Empowered Ministry School?

We are a training and community organization operating out of Neighborhood Church of Chico. We strategically tailor our teaching, exercises and community to help facilitate personal and corporate encouragement and transformation. Our intention is that our students will become revivalists, leaders and world shapers filled with the Holy Spirit (continually), fueled by love and revealing the Father. Our hope is that they will be able to say as Jesus did, “If you’ve seen me you’ve seen the Father.”

While our leaders attend and are committed to Neighborhood Church, they are not on staff there, nor are they on a church payroll.

What’s included?

• 9 months of weekly instruction and mentoring, with group activities

• Special guest speakers

• Fall community and freedom retreat

• Spring community/outreach trip (overnight)

• Mentoring and training

• Learn to share your faith and testimony in any environment

• Learn to minister in your place of influence (school, family, workplace and beyond)

• Immersion in a community of like-minded people who will love and encourage you

• Personal risk, growth, stretching and lots of FUN and support!

Every Wednesday?

We meet every Wednesday evening 6–8:30pm except those falling in the same week as a major holiday such as Christmas.

First year individual $625

First year married couple $975

Second year individual $525

Are there sponsorships/scholarships?

Can I make payments?

We recognize that there is sometimes a need to make payments, and we are willing to make arrangements. However, due to retreat, outreach, resources and outside speaker expenses, we require that once the school year has begun all agreed upon payments must be paid in full even in the event that a student leaves mid-year. Is it open to anyone?

Empowered Ministry School is open to Christian adults within our region who desire to know the power of God’s love and do the supernatural works that Christ did when he walked this earth. It is for those compelled by love to reach the lost, heal the sick, raise the dead, and bring wholeness in every way to individuals, families, cities and regions by the power of the Holy Spirit.
 

Is Empowered Ministry School accredited?

EMS is not an accredited program. We have chosen the term school, rather than seminar or program, because it of the kind of learning process and community environment in which we provide teaching and training.
